Bilal is a little boy that has captured the heart of anyone that has come in contact with him. He was born in Afghanistan with his bladder outside of his body. Bilal was living with an open abdominal wound and was constantly wet. He was brought to the attention of Army Major Battschinger, who spent almost two years arranging to bring Bilal to the USA and have the surgery at Cohen's Children's Hospital. He is in this country, with a host family from PA, who will see him through many surgical procedures.
